When invention turns to innovation
BBC article … nothing great, the misc. gems are noted hereafter … it caught my attention because of its provoking headline … that was chosen for catchiness’ sake … luring the unsuspecting reader …
It is unlikely that future technological inventions are going to transform the world in the way that they done before now.
Sorry, this is crap … and they know it, we’ve heard it times and times before that everything’s already discovered … remember the physics professor of the beginning 20th century who discouraged prospective physics students “Don’t study physics, everything of interest is known already” … and then came 1905 and Albert Einstein.
So many problems remain in this world, sure they won’t be all solved by technology, innovation and inventions alone .. but I’m pretty sure that there’s much to come …
Some phrases are catchy and on point though …
But what it means for technology companies is that a new idea, method, or device, will have to have a different kind of thinking behind it so that people see the value that innovative technology has for them.
